Why Adaptive Golf?

Doctors around the country have found that golf is one of the finest rehabilitation tools for physically challenged patients who have suffered from strokes, heart attacks, M.S., severe arthritis, brain damage, amputation of a limb, etc. They have discovered that golf:

1) Improves hand-eye coordination and balance
2) Builds strength in the hands, arms and legs
3) Gets patients outside and active again thus helping build one's self esteem
4) Improves patient compliance
5) Provides hands-on instruction to the therapists
6) Creates a better therapist/patient understanding of the challenges faced
7) Allows the therapists to do the actual teaching
8) Is a rewarding and popular sport
9) Can be played by anyone, regardless of age or physical disabilities
